An Agile consultancy specialising in digital transformation
Our roots go back to 2006. We were a provider of System and Software engineering improvement services under the banner of DNV IT Global Services (ITGS). Agile software development was already a large part of our activity in Asia. As a result of an MBO in 2011, ITGS became inspearit. Businesses were increasingly embracing Agile product management approach. In 2014, Yann Hamon, Executive VP of inspearit Asia, took charge of the company. Since then, we have led important transformation programs in the region and significantly extended our expertise to include:

In October 2021, why innovation! officially joined Wavestone, a global consulting firm headquartered in Paris, France to better serve our clients in Asia-Pacific.

Ellen is a versatile designer with hands on experience in advertising, events & experience design. Equipped with 2 diplomas in graphic & advertising design, and a honours degree in communication design, she immersed herself in various creative agencies, and sports an extensive portfolio of local & international clients, in both private & government sectors, executing and leading teams to design solutions through branding, 360° campaigns, on-ground & digital experiences.
She marries her passion and background in design with her life-long interest of psychology & human behaviour, which led her to dive in and perfect her craft in the field of UX & User-Centric Design.
A fast learner & curious by nature, Ellen believes that learning new skills will always bring value, however unrelated the different skills might seem at first. With this conviction, she strives to continuously learn and develop new skills, and with it, new insights and ability to empathise and deliver delightful user experiences.
Chris is a self-taught Content & Digital Marketer with 10+ years of experience in B2C Marketing. His knowledge encompasses both SEO & SEM, having experience in developing content strategies, product launch campaigns & events, design and working with paid channels. As the Digital Marketing Manager of why innnovation!, he pulls from his varied expertise to deliver value by incorporating a customer-centric approach to marketing. He believes that the success of a company and brand lies in its ability to relate and provide solutions to customers via a subtle, warm, and human approach.
With an Honours Degree in Business & Marketing, an advanced diploma in Mass Communications, and a diploma in Arts Management, Chris makes use of this diverse background to go beyond his scope by doing more. He often describes marketing as one-part data and one-part sorcery.
He also has a passion for words and when not developing ad copies, he’ll be working on his novella of short, horror stories. Or at the gym.
Laurent has a MSc in Software Engineering and a MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and 20 years of international experience in software engineering, digital transformation, and team coaching (in US, Europe and Singapore).
Laurent is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship and is involved in the startup ecosystem in Europe and in Singapore, as well as mentor for start-up contests (Startup Weekend, Sprinters, …).
With a strong hands-on background in software development and project management, he has a proven track record in Agile Organization Transformation and Innovation management for large organisations (e.g.: BNP Paribas, ComfortDelgro, Air France, Amadeus, Modem Media Inc.) and for startups (Vivid Studios, Reador).
He shares his experience as an Innovation Consultant & Trainer specialised in Business Model Innovation, Lean Startup and Design Thinking.
Andrew Coates has a Master of Science in Information Technology and over 21 years of traditional and Agile delivery experience. He has been successful in delivery roles in Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications and the Entertainment sectors, spanning Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore. This breath of experience enables Andrew to understand and build strong rapport with stakeholders moving from traditional to Agile ways of working.
Since 2017 Andrew has been growing his digital skills in roles such as Product Owner, Scrum Master and Agile Coach. He regularly mentors Agile Teams on Story decomposition, splitting, estimation, backlog grooming, velocity tracking and progress reporting. He works with Teams of Teams to improve their Agile at scale, focusing on shared backlog management, metrics, reporting and Advanced Roadmaps. He is an experienced Agile instructor and has developed and delivered customized courses to meet specific client requirements.
Certified with major Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, as well as scaling frameworks like SAFe and Disciplined Agile, Andrew is able to combine methodologies, tools and techniques to design a target operating model best suited for the organisational needs.
